WORK ON DEVELOPING RAFTING AND KAYAKING ON TARA RIVER

Association for Development of Rural Areas and Forestry – UROS is involved in activities on defining entrance-exit points for rafting and kayaking on Tara River, as well as in the preparation of touristic signalization and informative tables which will be placed on entrance-exit points.

WORK ON THE PROJECT OF THE VALORISATION OF TOURISM POTENTIALS OF PROŠĆENJE MOUNTAINS

At the end of May, in the framework of the implementation of the project “Valorisation of Tourism Potentials of Prošćenje Mountains”, the representatives of “Tara Turist” from Mojkovac and the Association for Development of Rural Areas and Forestry (UROS) have visited potentials locations and met with interested service providers. It was agreed that the forthcoming work on setting up pilot touristic packages should be focused on: marking of trails/touristic routes; and inclusion of villages Paljike, Crvena Lokva and Stupsko Polje as a key locations where the guests could receive appropriate service (accommodation, food).

THE CALL TO EXPLORE PROŠĆENJE MOUNTAINS

„Outside the city walls“, in silence of the centennial forests and colorful pastures, not far from Mojkovac, there are the Prošćenje Mountains. They are not mentioned in promotional materials on wild beauties of Montenegro, and they are not represented on the Internet. Maybe that’s the reason why these mountains are still unobtrusive mosaic of primordial nature, traditional rural life and various heavenly creations.

NEW MEMBERS OF NGO “UROS”

The First Emergency Session of the General Assembly of the NGO “UROS” was held on March 12, 2014 in Podgorica. On the Session, the Report on activities performed between two sessions was adopted, and the decision on admission to the membership is made for six new members:  Sandra Stanic, Biljana Medenica, Petar Vucinic, Dragan Borota, Kristina Kruzic and Mirjana Vucinic.The First Emergency Session of the General Assembly of the NGO “UROS” was held on March 12, 2014 in Podgorica. In addition, it is agreed that NGO „UROS” will signed the Cooperation Memorandums with institutions and companies which are currently working with UROS on various initiatives. Priority activities for the
 
forthcoming period are: preparation of project “Valorisation of Tourism Potentials of Proscenje Mountains” in collaboration with company “Tara Turist” from Mojkovac and definition of cooperation with National Private Forest Owners Association.
