Zarko Vucinic, Executive Director
Zarko Vucinic was born in 1972 in Belgrade, Serbia where he graduated from the Faculty of Forestry. As a student he was a journalist at the Third TV Channel (3K Channel). In the period from 2000 to 2005, he worked in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Montenegro as Adviser for International Cooperation and Spokesperson (2002 -2005). He was the Director of the Montenegro office of the Slovenian consulting company “Oikos, Sustainable Development” from 2005 - 2008.
He worked for numerous international projects in the area of forestry (financed by Lux-Development, SNV, World Bank, REC, EU), environmental protection (UNDP), wildlife management (Norwegian Forestry Group), communication and public relations (European Agency for Reconstruction, Lux-Development, Delegation of EU to Montenegro) and nature based tourism (Lux-Development, UNDP, Norwegian Forestry Group).
From 2009 – 2013, he worked as the Forestry Consultant for “Forestry Development in Montenegro” – FODEMO project which was funded by the Government of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. In addition, from 2011 – 2013, he was a Project Coordinator of the EU funded project “Support for the Capacity Building in the Forestry Sector”. Since 2014, he works as Executive Director of the NGO “Association for Development of Rural Areas and Forestry – UROS”.
Gojko Mitrovic, Consultant
Gojko Mitrovic was born in 1977 in Podgorica, Montenegro. He worked as a member of Multimedia team at the Secretariat for Development, Montenegro, and from 2002 to 2003, as the Graphic Designer/Media Consultant for Bearing Point – USAID Montenegro on the project related to the economic reforms.
He worked for numerous international projects in the area of forestry and rural development which was financed by Lux-Development, SNV and EU (projects implemented by NIRAS and ADT).
From 2009 – 2013, he was engaged as a Graphic Designer/Media Consultant for “Forestry Development in Montenegro”- FODEMO project which was funded by the Government of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Since 2014, he works as a Consultant in the NGO “Association for Development of Rural Areas and Forestry – UROS”.
Members of Association:
Sandra Stanic was born 1970 in Liestal, Switzerland. She graduated at the Veterinary Faculty at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. In the period from 1999 - 2001, she worked as local consultant at the USAID funded project “Development of the Dairy Sector in Montenegro”. After this project, she undertook post at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Montenegro at the position of the Advisor for the Veterinary medicines (2002 - 2003).
In the period from 2003-2013, she worked at many international projects in the field of agriculture and veterinary medicine, which were funded by the EU and managed by Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro (projects implemented by the Agri-Livestock Consultants Ltd., ADT Projekt and FERA, UK).
Furthermore, she was active in the NGO sector in the framework of the project “Development of organic farming in the South of Montenegro”, implemented by NGO ASK and funded by UNDP, then NGO Association of Veterinarians in Montenegro, the project “Development of the veterinary medicine in accordance with EU legislation, USAID / ORT.
Biljana Medenica was born in 1980 in Kolasin. From 2005 to 2007 she was engages as GIS technician at UNDP at the project “Use of GIS (Geographic Information System) in Environmental Sector in Montenegro” where she worked on development of new basic GIS layers of Montenegro as well as of sets of spatial data in the respective field (Land Cover Maps, identification of Emerald sited etc.).
In the period between 2007 and 2014 at the position of GIS trainer/support, also at the office of UNDP she organized and held basic and advanced GIS courses for employees in Environmental protection sectors, including representatives of Forestry, whereby she worked on several regional and cross border projects financed by EU and UNEP. During this period she worked on establishment of register of hiking and biking trails and national network of trails in the field of tourism through the project “Hiking&Biking”. She author and co-author of a larger number of maps in the domain of tourism and hydrology. Likewise, she participated in development/production of larger number of studies, projects, publications and professional reports.
She is active also in the NGO sector through the work with NGO Geoeko Montenegro and traditional organization of geo ecological camps that gather students of geography, biology and tourism whereby each camp has a goal to ameliorate/upgrade individual scientific and field work in the field of geography and biology and to promote undiscovered sites of Montenegro.
Dragan Borota was born in 1978 in Glina, Croatia. He finished Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade, where he after the graduation worked at numerous national and international projects in the field of forestry.
From 2005 - 2009, as an Professional Associate he worked on projects funded by the Norwegian Forestry Group (FOREST SECTOR Programme II), Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, as National Coordinator for the implementation of the National Forest Inventory of the Republic of Serbia.
From 2009 - 2012 he was worked as a Forestry consultant (Consultant for the National Forest Inventory and biomass) in the LUX –Development company on the project “Forestry Development in Montenegro” (FODEMO project), funded by the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Since 2012 he has been working as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade. His main expertise is related to the scientific field of Forest Management Planning, Dendrommetry, Forest Inventory (Stand Inventory, National Forest Inventory), applied statistics, GIS and Photogrammetry.
During 2013 he was hired by the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization, Forestry Department - Wood energy) as a Forestry consultant (international expert in forest inventory) on the WISDOM project (GCP/MNE/001/LUX).
Since 2014 he is a member of the NGO “Association for Rural Development and Forestry - UROŠ”
Mirjana Vucinic was born in 1992 in Berane. She finished tourism high school in Mojkovac. She graduated on the Faculty for State and European Studies in Podgorica in 2014.
Ms. Mirjana Vucinic has participated in national projects in tourism sector as well as in numerous actions in environment protection area.
